Carbon neutrality is the reabsorption of carbon dioxide emitted from society to zero actual carbon emissions, and the Net Zero 2050 Climate Foundation is an organization launched as a non-profit foundation under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to achieve carbon neutrality.
The agreement is based on the government's carbon neutrality plan and the 2040 carbon neutrality strategy plan in Gangwon Province, and will cooperate to prepare alternatives for customized carbon neutrality and revitalize practical activities.
Lee Jung-kyun, director-general of the Economic and Construction Bureau, said, "We will make efforts to discover and implement sustainable projects as carbon neutrality is receiving a lot of attention not only at home but also at the international community.". He also said, "We hope that the county residents will also participate in reducing the use of disposable products and using eco-friendly certified products to realize a carbon-neutral society that can be practiced in daily life."
